STONE GLACIER: MINDFULNESS

OVERVIEW

The sting of the cold wind on your face. The burning of an unrelenting mid-day sun on your neck. The feeling of your blood in your veins as your breath deepens. The awareness of the moment.

This is what Phil and Caylen of Modern Day Sniper practice. This is what they preach, what they teach to hundreds of people. Their philosophy is built from years of hard, grueling experiences. Thousands of rounds through a chamber.

Training is an adventure. An experience made of hundreds of moments of mindfulness. Training to be a better hunter is one of introspection and humble evaluation on your own technique that you may have been taught as a child. Finding the time and devoting to not only IMPROVE but putting it to the test is a challenge that few take on.

“Mindfulness” will focus on this. Developing the story and philosophy of Caylen and Phil, while showing member(s) of Stone Glacier training and testing themselves at NRL/ PRS courses. This is translated via sweeping landscapes, intimate moments and, VO that exudes authority in the calm deliberate matter of those with a lifetime of knowledge.

STORY

Opening with sweeping visuals and VO of the member(s) of the Stone Glacier team out hunting. The voice speaks of the reason why hunters hunt. The great outdoors. Being part of nature. Cutting from wide landscapes, intimate closeups, and animals, the voice transitions to speaking of the desire to be better. Being a better shot. Wanting to kill the animal ethically.

Enter Phil and Caylen. At the shooting range, sighting in and teaching. Their voices enter and explain and expand on their training. Their background. How practice in firearms means sending hundreds of rounds down the range and understanding the behavior behind each round. That one of the keys to becoming better is to test yourself. To push yourself. To focus in the moment to understand yourself to get better. Imagery transitions from the shooting range to Phil and Caylen solo and then back to the Stone Glacier crew.

The Crew is prepping for the NRL/PRS Course. Packing up gear, getting equipment prepped and organized. Loading up the cars. A brief background on a NRL/PRS match give way to clips of the crew at the match(s). The match transitions to VO about how in the end its not about winning, its about setting benchmarks for yourself. So you know what to work on, what to improve, and to become a better hunter.

Ending in the same manner we opened, the crew is shown out hunting. Closing words of being more present and working to continually be better.
